The Airbus A380 is a iconic double-deck, wide-body, four-engine jet airliner manufactured by Airbus.
As the world's largest passenger airliner, the A380 has a distinctive appearance with its two full-length passenger decks and a capacity to accommodate up to around 853 passengers in a typical two-class configuration, or up to 868 in a high-density layout.
The A380 was developed to address the increasing demand for air travel and to provide airlines with a more efficient means of transporting large numbers of passengers on long-haul routes.
Its spacious interior allows for various cabin configurations, offering a range of amenities for passengers and providing operators with flexibility in designing their onboard services.
Featuring advanced technology, the Airbus A380 incorporates fuel-efficient engines, aerodynamic design, and modern avionics to enhance its overall performance.
It has a significant range, capable of flying non-stop on long-haul routes, and it has become a flagship aircraft for several major airlines.
The A380, while not as numerous as some other aircraft types, has left a lasting impact on the aviation industry due to its size, technological advancements, and its role in reshaping the way airlines approach long-haul travel.
However, as of my last knowledge update in January 2022, Airbus had announced the discontinuation of the A380 program, with the last deliveries completed in the preceding years.
