The Pz.Kpfw. III Ausf. N was the final development of Germany’s Panzer III series, adapted to meet new battlefield demands during the later stages of the Second World War.
Introduced in 1942, the Ausf. N replaced the previous long-barrelled anti-tank guns with the short-barrelled 7.5 cm KwK 37 L/24, offering improved high-explosive firepower ideal for infantry support.
This made it particularly valuable in close-quarters engagements and in theatre-specific roles such as North Africa.
Serving with the famed Deutsches Afrikakorps (DAK) under harsh desert conditions, the Ausf. N supported Tiger I heavy tanks and armoured units during key operations in Tunisia and Libya.
Its compact design, dependable chassis, and supportive firepower made it a vital part of Germany’s armoured structure during the final North African campaigns.
This model accurately reproduces the features unique to the Afrika Korps Ausf. N, including:
- Short-barrelled 7.5 cm main gun, suited for infantry support
