Hasegawa Hobby Kits

Hasegawa Co., Ltd. is a Japanese company that produces plastic model kits for various vehicles, including model airplanes, model cars, model ships, model armors, model spacecraft, and science fiction kits. It is located in Shizuoka, Japan. Founded in 1941, it entered the field of plastic models in 1961. Hasegawa kits mainly use polystyrene and are generally considered very accurate, but they are not easy to assemble. Currently, Hasegawa kits are imported into North America by Hobbico's Great Planes Model Distributor. Hasegawa concluded its long-term distribution agreement with Dragon Models in early 2010. Hasegawa also imports Revell kits to Japan and sells them under the Revell brand and private label labels. Revell/Germany often repacks Hasegawa kits for Europe and the North American market.
