The Gloster Meteor F.8 was a British fighter jet that was developed in the 1940s and used primarily by the Royal Air Force.

It was an evolution of the earlier Meteor F.4 and F.6 models and was designed to be a fast and agile interceptor aircraft.

The Meteor F.8 was powered by two Rolls-Royce Derwent engines, which allowed it to reach a top speed of around 600 mph.

It was armed with four 20mm Hispano-Suiza cannons and could also carry a variety of rockets and bombs for ground attack missions.

The Meteor F.8 saw service in a number of conflicts, including the Korean War, where it was used primarily for ground attack missions.

It was also used by other countries, including Argentina, Belgium, and Israel.

The aircraft was eventually replaced by newer jet fighters, but it remained in service with some air forces into the 1980s.

Overall, the Gloster Meteor F.8 was an important aircraft in the early days of jet aviation and played a key role in the development of jet technology.

It was a fast and agile fighter that served the Royal Air Force well during its time in service.
