Airfix Routemaster Bus QUICK BUILD # J6050

The New Routemaster Bus, also known as the Borismaster, is a modern double-decker bus designed and manufactured by Wrightbus for Transport for London (TfL).

It was introduced in 2012 as part of TfL's efforts to modernize London's bus fleet and improve air quality.

The New Routemaster features a hybrid diesel-electric powertrain, which combines a 4.5-liter diesel engine with an electric motor and batteries.

This allows it to run on electric power alone for short distances, reducing emissions and fuel consumption.

The bus also features a number of other energy-saving features, such as regenerative braking and an automatic engine stop-start system.

The exterior of the New Routemaster is designed to be both modern and reminiscent of the classic Routemaster bus that was popular in London in the 1950s and 60s.

It features an iconic red livery and a distinctive front end with a wraparound windscreen and a retro-style grille.

The interior of the New Routemaster is designed to be spacious and comfortable, with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, USB charging ports, and a range of other amenities.

The bus also features a unique "hop-on, hop-off" design, with three doors and two staircases, allowing passengers to easily move around the bus and exit from the front, middle, or rear.

Today, the New Routemaster is a popular and iconic symbol of London's transport system.
