In Knight Rider Season III, the Knight Industries Two Thousand—better known as K.I.T.T.—returns with upgraded features, refined styling, and even more attitude.
Based on a modified 1982 Pontiac Trans Am, K.I.T.T. is a fully autonomous, artificially intelligent supercar designed by Knight Industries to assist Michael Knight in fighting crime for the Foundation for Law and Government (FLAG).
By Season III, K.I.T.T. sports enhancements such as Super Pursuit Mode (SPM), Emergency Braking System (EBS), and improved offensive and defensive systems, including flamethrowers, oil slicks, and molecular-bonded shell armor.
The signature scanner light on the hood pulses with crimson energy, symbolizing K.I.T.T.’s ever-vigilant presence.
Inside, K.I.T.T. features a futuristic dash filled with monitors, voice modulators, and a steering yoke, all managed by his distinctive, sarcastic, and loyal AI voice.
Season III solidifies K.I.T.T.’s role not just as a machine, but as Michael Knight’s trusted partner and friend—capable of high-speed pursuits, tactical support, and dry wit in equal measure.
