The Nakajima Ki-115 Tsurugi was a Japanese single-seat, single-engine aircraft developed in 1945 as a dedicated kamikaze (suicide attack) plane.
Designed for simplicity and rapid mass production, it featured a basic tubular fuselage, fixed landing gear (jettisoned after take-off), and could be powered by a variety of engines.
The aircraft carried a single large bomb under the fuselage, intended for ramming attacks against Allied ships.
Crude in construction and difficult to fly, the Ki-115 never saw operational use before Japan’s surrender, but it remains a stark symbol of the desperate measures taken in the final stages of the Pacific War.
