The Sd.Kfz. 247 Ausf.B was a German armored car developed during the interwar period and used during World War II.

It was designed to fulfill reconnaissance and liaison roles for the German military.

This four-wheeled vehicle featured an enclosed and armored superstructure that provided protection to its crew from small arms fire and shell splinters.

Equipped with a range of communication equipment, the Sd.Kfz. 247 Ausf.B allowed for effective battlefield coordination and intelligence gathering. Its relatively compact size and maneuverability made it well-suited for both urban and rural environments.

Powered by a gasoline engine, the Sd.Kfz. 247 Ausf.B had a respectable top speed and a reasonable operational range, enabling it to carry out reconnaissance missions effectively.

While it offered improved protection compared to earlier designs, it still had limitations in terms of armor thickness and overall combat capability.
