Hannibal's Veterans were the seasoned core of the Carthaginian general Hannibal Barca's army during the Second Punic War (218–201 BCE).

These troops were battle-hardened soldiers who had fought alongside Hannibal in his campaigns across Iberia, the Alps, and Italy.

Renowned for their discipline, experience, and loyalty, they played a pivotal role in Hannibal's stunning victories, including the legendary battles of Trebia, Lake Trasimene, and Cannae.

Primarily composed of Libyan infantry, Iberian warriors, and Numidian cavalry, Hannibal's Veterans were a diverse and adaptable force.

They demonstrated exceptional cohesion and effectiveness, often outmaneuvering and outlasting Roman legions in combat.
