The K9A1 "Thunder" is a modern self-propelled howitzer (SPH) developed by South Korea's Hanwha Defense, now being incorporated into the Polish Army's artillery units.
This advanced artillery system is known for its high mobility, rapid rate of fire, and extended range capabilities.
The K9A1 features a 155mm gun capable of firing a variety of munitions with a maximum range exceeding 40 kilometers.
It includes improvements over its predecessor, such as an automated fire control system, enhanced navigation and targeting systems, and better crew protection.
The vehicle's robust chassis and powerful engine allow it to traverse difficult terrains and maintain operational readiness in diverse combat environments.
