The Douglas Boston III, known in the United States as the DB-7B, was a variant of the Douglas A-20 Havoc—a versatile light bomber and attack aircraft used extensively during World War II.
Initially developed in the U.S., the DB-7B was produced for export under Lend-Lease and served primarily with the Royal Air Force (RAF), where it was designated as the Boston III.
Equipped with twin radial engines, the aircraft boasted impressive speed and maneuverability for a bomber, making it well-suited for low-level attack missions.
It typically carried a crew of three and could deliver up to 2,000 pounds of bombs.
Its blend of agility, durability, and reliable performance earned it a solid reputation among Allied aircrews in both European and North African campaigns.
