The Kapitän Saloon 2-door was a German staff car used during World War II, manufactured by the Opel company, a subsidiary of General Motors.

Introduced in 1938, the Opel Kapitän was known for its solid engineering and stylish design, making it a popular choice for both civilian and military use.

The 2-door saloon variant was particularly favored by German military officers and high-ranking staff for its combination of comfort and performance.

Powered by a 2.5-liter inline-6 engine, the Kapitän offered a smooth ride and was capable of reaching respectable speeds for the time. Its robust chassis and durable construction made it suitable for the various conditions encountered during the war.

The car's elegant design, with a streamlined body and distinctive front grille, provided a touch of sophistication, even in the austere environment of wartime Europe.
