The Humvee, officially known as the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV), is a versatile military vehicle developed by AM General for the United States Armed Forces.

Introduced in the 1980s to replace various older vehicles such as the Jeep, the Humvee quickly became the backbone of the U.S. military's light tactical vehicle fleet.
