The EF-111A Raven is a specialized electronic warfare aircraft developed by General Dynamics for the United States Air Force (USAF).
Derived from the F-111 Aardvark platform, the EF-111A was designed to provide electronic countermeasures (ECM) support, primarily tasked with jamming enemy radar and communications systems.
Introduced in the 1980s, the Raven played a crucial role in tactical air operations, particularly during conflicts such as the Gulf War.
Its sophisticated electronic warfare suite, including radar jamming equipment and chaff dispensers, enabled it to disrupt enemy defenses and enhance the survivability of allied aircraft.
The EF-111A Raven was eventually retired from active service in the late 1990s, but its legacy as a highly effective electronic warfare platform remains significant in the annals of military aviation history.
