The VSO-10B “Vosa” is a two-seat training and club sailplane developed in Czechoslovakia by Let Kunovice during the late 1960s.
Designed specifically for ab-initio training and general club flying, the Vosa quickly earned a reputation for robustness, simplicity, and predictable handling.
Constructed primarily from metal with fabric-covered control surfaces, the VSO-10B reflects a transitional period between traditional and composite glider design.
Its side-by-side cockpit layout provides excellent communication between instructor and student, while the large canopy offers good all-round visibility—ideal for training circuits, winch launches, and early soaring instruction.
In flight, the Vosa is known for its stable, forgiving characteristics and gentle stall behaviour, making it particularly suitable for novice pilots.
While not intended for high-performance cross-country soaring, it performs reliably in weak to moderate lift and excels in repetitive training operations thanks to its durable airframe and straightforward maintenance.
The VSO-10B “Vosa” became widely used by gliding clubs across Eastern Europe and beyond, and today it remains a respected classic—valued by enthusiasts for its historical significance, honest flying qualities, and role in training generations of glider pilots.
