The VSO-10C “Vosa” is a two-seat training and club sailplane developed in Czechoslovakia as an improved variant of the earlier VSO-10 series.
Built by Let Kunovice, the VSO-10C was designed to enhance durability, handling, and operational efficiency for intensive gliding school and club use.
Featuring a predominantly metal airframe with fabric-covered control surfaces, the VSO-10C reflects a robust, practical design philosophy.
Its side-by-side cockpit layout promotes excellent instructor–student communication, while the large, clear canopy provides good external visibility—an essential feature during training circuits, aerotows, and winch launches.
In the air, the VSO-10C is known for its stable, forgiving flight characteristics and benign stall behaviour, making it well suited to student pilots progressing through their early stages of gliding.
Although not intended as a high-performance sailplane, it offers dependable soaring capability in weak to moderate lift and consistent handling in a wide range of conditions.
The VSO-10C “Vosa” saw widespread service with gliding clubs across Eastern Europe and other regions, where its strength, simplicity, and ease of maintenance were highly valued.
Today, it is regarded as a classic training glider—representing a significant chapter in post-war European sailplane development and a familiar sight in vintage and heritage gliding circles.
