The Dragoon of the Imperial Guard, 1807 represents one of Napoleon Bonaparte’s most elite cavalrymen during the height of the Napoleonic Wars.
Formed as part of the Empress Dragoons, this prestigious unit combined the mobility of dragoons with the discipline and grandeur of the Imperial Guard — serving both as shock troops and a symbol of Imperial power.
Clad in their striking green tunics with white lapels, copper helmets adorned with black horsehair crests, and polished brass fittings, these cavalrymen were a formidable presence on the battlefield and during grand parades.
Armed with straight sabres and carbines, they were trained for both mounted charges and dismounted combat.
By 1807, the Dragoons of the Imperial Guard had already earned a reputation for bravery and loyalty, often stationed close to Napoleon himself.
