The Type-055 Destroyer, one of the most advanced and formidable warships in the Chinese Navy, is a large multi-role guided-missile destroyer designed for air defense, anti-ship, anti-submarine, and land-attack missions.
At approximately 13,000 tons, it is among the largest destroyers in the world and features cutting-edge stealth technology to minimize radar detection.
The Type-055 is equipped with a powerful array of weapons, including a 112-cell vertical launch system (VLS) that can deploy a variety of missiles, such as anti-air, anti-ship, and land-attack missiles, providing it with significant offensive and defensive capabilities.
Its dual-band radar, combined with advanced electronic warfare systems, allows the Type-055 to track multiple targets at extended ranges, making it a critical asset for regional power projection and fleet defense in the Chinese Navy.
