The Sturmhaubitze 42 (StuH 42) Ausf. G Early Production was a German assault gun used during World War II.
Developed by modifying the chassis of the Panzer III tank, this vehicle was specifically designed to provide direct fire support to infantry units.
Armed with a 105mm howitzer, the StuH 42 could deliver devastating firepower against enemy fortifications, bunkers, and armored vehicles.
The early production variant of the StuH 42 Ausf. G featured a relatively simple and rugged design, with sloped armor providing some protection for the crew against small arms fire and shell fragments.
Its main gun was capable of firing a variety of ammunition types, including high-explosive shells for infantry support and armor-piercing rounds for engaging enemy tanks at close range.
