Gunpla Model Kits

A Gundam is a type of mobile suit (think: giant mecha with a pilot) as seen in the many Mobile Suit Gundam anime series.

Each story follows the struggles and growth of various characters in times of war nd conflict, where there are very many shades of grey. Although fantastical, Gundam anime are presented as a more "realistic" alternative to traditional fantasy "giant robot" stories, with a focus on tecnhology, humanity and human struggles. 

Each character pilots a special mecha or robot with cutting-edge abilities called "Gundam", a giant fighting mecha machine. 

Gunpla is a portmanteau of "gun" and "plastic model kit" and is given to all of Bandai's plastic model kits from the ;omg-running Mobile Suit Gundam franchise of anime. 

These snap-fit model kits range from simple beginner models all the way to incredibly detailed, complex and mechanically functional display pieces. They can range in size from tiny figures that fit in your palm, to towering figures multiple feet tall that dominate your display space. Gunpla include varying levels of articulation to allow many dynamic poses and are pre-coloured so that painting is always optional. Builds can take anywhere from an hour to many days.   

Gunpla allows anyone to create a cool Mobile Suit of their own. Be it a straight out-of-the-box build or a full-on professional paint-up, you can build your Gunpla however you like.
