The Yakovlev Yak-15 was a Soviet jet fighter aircraft developed shortly after World War II.
It was one of the first operational jet fighters produced in the Soviet Union.
Based on the German Messerschmitt Me 262, the Yak-15 retained the Me 262's aerodynamic design and utilized the Rolls-Royce Nene turbojet engine.
The Yak-15 had a sleek and streamlined appearance with a straight-wing configuration.
It featured a single-seat cockpit and was armed with two 23mm cannons mounted in the nose.
Although the Yak-15 was a significant advancement in Soviet aviation technology, it had some limitations.
Its performance was relatively modest compared to contemporary jet fighters of other nations.
