To be in continuous readiness, the fire brigades needs high-performance vehicles with long service life, that functional reliably and are always in operational readiness. The fire fighting tankers of the TLF 8 range are designed as fast and manoeuvrable vehicles. They have a large water tank for their size and a fast attack system, which combined with their basic load of technical equipment, gives them universal serviceability for rapid fire fighting and water supply. The Mercedes Unimog, which has already proved itself over many years, is a high-performance, all-wheel drive vehicle with great off-road capability and a 44 cm ground clearance. It is supremely suitable for use on impassable terrain. It is powered by a 6-cylinder diesel engine with a capacity of 124 kW (168 hp). Permissible overall weight: 7.49 tonnes; water tank capacity: 1,800 litres.
