The ATF Dingo 1 is a German-made armored military vehicle primarily designed for the purpose of providing protection against explosive devices and ambushes in hostile environments.
It falls into the category of mine-protected vehicles, often referred to as MRAPs (Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles).
The Dingo 1 is characterized by its V-shaped hull, which helps to deflect the blast away from the vehicle in the event of a mine or improvised explosive device (IED) detonation.
This design significantly enhances the crew's survivability by minimizing the impact of such explosions.
The vehicle is also equipped with ballistic protection to guard against small arms fire, shrapnel, and other threats.
Originally developed for German military forces, the Dingo 1 has gained recognition for its effectiveness in various peacekeeping, counterinsurgency, and reconnaissance missions.
