The Sd.Kfz. 182 Tiger Ausf. B, commonly known as the "King Tiger" or Tiger II, was Germany’s most powerful production tank of World War II.

Introduced in 1944, it combined the thick sloped armor of the Panther with the formidable 88mm KwK 43 L/71 gun, capable of destroying any Allied tank at long range.

Weighing nearly 70 tons, the King Tiger featured frontal armor up to 150mm thick and a complex, interleaved road wheel suspension.

It was produced with two turret types—initially the Porsche turret, followed by the more common Henschel design.

Despite its fearsome combat performance, the Tiger II suffered from mechanical unreliability and high fuel consumption.

Deployed mainly on the Eastern and Western Fronts, it became a symbol of German armored might and remains one of the most iconic tanks in military history.
