The U.S. Army Tractor VAC conversions were modified Case VAC tractors, originally designed for agricultural use, but adapted for military service during World War II.
These light, versatile tractors were used for tasks such as airfield maintenance, towing small loads, and general utility work on bases and supply depots.
Some were outfitted with specialized equipment, including winches, generators, or snowplows, to assist in various wartime operations.
While not frontline vehicles, these converted Case VAC tractors played a crucial support role in maintaining logistics, infrastructure, and mobility for the U.S. Army.
