German Ju-87R Stuka Dive Bomber - Plastic Model Aircraft Kit
Trumpeter 1/24 Junkers Ju-87R Stuka # 02423
Ju87R is actually a long-range model improved from Ju87B, and its purpose is known to be mainly used to attack transport ships. Compared with Ju87B, Ju87R and Ju87B, the most important improvement lies in the outer wing section of the fuel tank and two additional throwable 300-liter auxiliary fuel tanks under the wings. So that it can reach 1,080 liters of fuel carrying capacity. The main fuel tank is 500 liters, 480 liters of wing fuel tanks and a total volume of 600 liters of auxiliary fuel tanks are added. If the aircraft is filled with fuel, in order to avoid overloading, the weapon load is usually limited to only 250 kg of bombs. .
A total of 972 Ju87R models were produced, including 105 R-1, 472 R-2 and 144 R-4, all manufactured by Weserflug. The last Ju87R rolled off the assembly line in October 1941.
