The 2S25 Sprut-SD is a Russian amphibious light tank designed for airborne and amphibious operations.
It was developed in the early 2000s and is based on the chassis of the BMD-3 airborne infantry fighting vehicle.
The tank is equipped with a powerful 125mm smoothbore gun, as well as a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun and a 12.7mm anti-aircraft machine gun.
The 2S25 Sprut-SD has a crew of three and can carry up to five additional troops. It is fully amphibious, with a water speed of up to 10 km/h, and can be transported by air using various transport aircraft.
The tank is also equipped with advanced fire control systems and night vision equipment, allowing it to operate effectively in low-light conditions.
Due to its lightweight and amphibious capabilities, the 2S25 Sprut-SD is well-suited for rapid deployment in difficult terrain, such as marshes, rivers, and coastal areas.
It is also designed to support airborne and special forces units in various combat situations.
