The Schwerer Zugkraftwagen 18t Sd.Kfz. 9/1 was a German heavy half-track vehicle used during World War II, equipped with a 6-ton Bilstein crane for recovery and maintenance operations.

Based on the Sd.Kfz. 9 “Famo” chassis, this variant was designed to support armored units by recovering damaged tanks, moving heavy equipment, and assisting with field repairs.

The Bilstein crane, mounted on the rear, provided a lifting capacity of 6 tons, allowing it to handle engine replacements and other heavy-duty tasks.

Powered by a Maybach HL 108 12-cylinder engine, the Sd.Kfz. 9/1 had a robust design capable of towing and maneuvering heavy loads, making it an essential asset for German armored divisions on the battlefield.
