The US Army M915 6x4 Gun Truck was a heavily armed and armored military transport vehicle used primarily during the 1980s and 1990s.

Based on the M915 tractor truck, which was part of the Army’s line of heavy-duty logistics vehicles, these gun trucks were modified to provide convoy security in hostile environments.

They typically featured reinforced armor plating to protect the crew from small arms fire and IEDs.

The armament often included crew-served weapons such as M2 .50 caliber machine guns, M60 machine guns, and sometimes Mk 19 grenade launchers, mounted on turrets or ring mounts for 360-degree coverage.

These gun trucks played a critical role in protecting supply convoys during operations, ensuring that essential supplies reached their destinations safely in high-threat areas.
