The Italian cruiser Pola is brought to life in this detailed 1/350 scale kit from Trumpeter, capturing the sleek lines and powerful presence of one of Italy’s most formidable World War II warships. As the flagship of the Zara-class, Pola featured enhanced superstructure design and heavy armour, making her a standout subject for naval modellers.
This kit includes over 410 finely moulded parts across multiple sprues, allowing for an accurate recreation of the ship’s distinctive profile. Key features include detailed triple 203mm gun turrets, secondary armament, deck fittings, boats, and cranes, all designed to deliver an impressive and authentic build. The full hull and deck are crisply produced, providing an excellent base for painting and weathering.
Measuring approximately 327mm in length when completed, the model offers a striking display piece straight out of the box, while still leaving plenty of scope for super-detailing. The level of detail makes it suitable for intermediate builders and above, balancing build complexity with an enjoyable assembly experience.
Historically, Pola served extensively in the Mediterranean before being disabled and ultimately sunk during the Battle of Cape Matapan in 1941, adding real historical significance to this impressive model.
