The CARRIER DTr was a Soviet armoured draisine developed by the Podolsk Machine-Building Plant during the Second World War.
Designed to operate on railways as part of an armoured train, it combined light armour protection with a mounted machine gun, providing reconnaissance, patrol, and security functions along vulnerable railway lines.
Compact and relatively simple to produce, the DTr played a supporting role in safeguarding vital transport routes and supply convoys.
Though modest in firepower and protection, it was a practical solution for rapid deployment on the Soviet rail network during the war.
