The M3 Armored Scout Car was a wheeled armored vehicle used by the United States during World War II.

Also known as the White Scout Car, it was designed for reconnaissance and command and control purposes.

The M3 was built by the White Motor Company and featured a 4x4 wheel drive configuration, providing it with good off-road capabilities.

The vehicle had an open-topped hull with armor plating to protect its occupants from small arms fire and shell splinters. It typically accommodated a crew of four and was armed with one or more machine guns, usually a .50 caliber Browning M2 machine gun and a .30 caliber M1919 machine gun.

The M3 Armored Scout Car played a vital role in reconnaissance missions, where its speed and agility allowed it to quickly traverse various terrains, gather intelligence, and support infantry units.

Serial production of the modification M3A1 began in 1941 at the Ford Company. M-3 vehicles were used in armies of all anti-Hitler allies. The Red Army also had a lot of them. The vehicle could carry eight people, it had armour protection from bullets and splinters. The body could contain a large-calibre machine gun.
