The Bailey Type Double-Double M1 Panel Bridge is a robust, modular military bridge system developed during World War II to support rapid deployment in combat zones.
Built from prefabricated steel panels, the "double-double" configuration features two panels high and two panels wide on each side, greatly enhancing its load-bearing capacity and stability.
Designed for quick assembly without the need for heavy equipment, it could support tanks, trucks, and troops across rivers and obstacles.
