Italeri 1/72 Eurocopter AS332 Super Puma # 91096
The AS332 Super Puma is a versatile twin-engine medium transport helicopter developed by the French manufacturer Aérospatiale (now part of Airbus Helicopters).
Introduced in the late 1970s as an advanced development of the earlier SA330 Puma, the Super Puma was designed to provide greater range, improved lifting capacity, and enhanced safety for a wide variety of missions.
Powered by two powerful Turbomeca engines and equipped with a robust rotor system, the AS332 offers excellent reliability and performance in demanding conditions.
It is capable of carrying up to 24 passengers or a substantial cargo load, making it ideal for troop transport, search and rescue, offshore transport, and humanitarian operations.
Its spacious cabin and strong lifting capability have also made it a popular choice for transporting personnel to offshore oil and gas platforms.
The Super Puma has served with numerous military and civilian operators around the world, proving itself in roles ranging from combat support and maritime operations to disaster relief and medical evacuation.
Known for its durability, stability in flight, and long operational range, the AS332 Super Puma remains one of the most successful and widely used medium helicopters of its class.

| Short Description | The AS332 Super Puma is a medium twin-engine helicopter with a four-blade rotor designed by the French company Aérospatiale, now Airbus Helicopters. Equipped with two Turbomeca engines, it can reach a cruising speed of 260 km/h. The helicopter’s airframe was designed to withstand intensive use in all operational environments, including long-range missions, thanks to a range of 800 km. Furthermore, the adoption of retractable landing gear significantly improves aerodynamics during flight phases. The combination of these features has, over time, built the reputation of the “Super Puma” as a robust, reliable helicopter, ideal for the most demanding and challenging military and civilian missions. It has also been continuously upgraded in terms of avionics and electronic navigation support systems to further extend its useful operational life. - Scale is 1/72 |
