The Messerschmitt Bf 109K-4, codenamed “Konrad”, was the final and most advanced production version of Germany’s iconic Bf 109 fighter.

Introduced late in 1944, the K-4 represented the ultimate refinement of the airframe, bringing together streamlined engineering, improved systems, and a powerful Daimler-Benz DB 605 D engine.

Designed to restore Luftwaffe competitiveness during the final months of the war, the K-4 offered significantly enhanced speed, climb rate, and high-altitude performance.

The aircraft featured an electrically adjustable tailplane, strengthened landing gear, revised cowling, and a more aerodynamic appearance compared to earlier Gustavs.
