Designed to conquer the unforgiving conditions of the Eastern Front, the Raupenschlepper Ost (RSO/01) Late Production was a fully tracked utility vehicle developed by Steyr for the German Wehrmacht.

This late-war variant retained the original RSO/01's curved steel cab and flatbed cargo body, but featured simplified construction for quicker production and improved reliability in extreme winter and muddy terrain.

Powered by a robust Steyr 85hp V8 petrol engine, the RSO/01 Late Production could haul supplies, ammunition, and tow medium artillery like the PaK 40 across snow-covered or impassable roads where wheeled vehicles failed.

With a payload capacity of up to 1.5 tonnes and excellent ground clearance, it became a trusted logistical lifeline in the harshest conditions.

Despite its utilitarian appearance, the RSO/01 was known for its mechanical dependability, low maintenance needs, and versatility.

Whether transporting troops, towing guns, or delivering vital resources, the Late Production RSO/01 exemplified German engineering adapted to the brutal demands of the Eastern Front.
