The Sturmgeschütz III Ausf. G, produced by Alkett in October 1943, was a German assault gun used extensively during World War II.

This particular variant, denoted by "Ausf. G," represented an evolution of the StuG III design, which was known for its effectiveness in providing mobile artillery support for infantry.

The Alkett production of the StuG III Ausf. G incorporated various improvements over earlier models, including enhanced armor protection and a formidable 75mm StuK 40 L/48 main gun.

The vehicle featured a low-profile design, making it well-suited for ambush tactics and urban warfare.

Its octagonal shape of the superstructure was a distinctive feature of later StuG III versions.

In October 1943, the StuG III Ausf. G played a crucial role on the Eastern and Western Fronts, where German forces faced increasingly challenging armored engagements.

With its combination of firepower, mobility, and a relatively low profile, the StuG III remained a versatile and effective weapon in the German arsenal during the later stages of World War II.
