The Lippisch Li P.13 was an ambitious 1942 German high-speed bomber design, developed under Josef Hubert in Alexander Lippisch’s aerodynamics group at Messerschmitt.
Crafted as a tailless, swept-wing aircraft with a push-pull twin-engine configuration (one at the front, one at the rear) and a prominent ventral fin, it embodied radical aerodynamic thinking intended for fast strike missions.
The project was terminated when Lippisch’s department was dissolved in 1943, and the design never progressed beyond the drawing board.
Although unrealized, the Li P.13 highlights the era’s appetite for experimental approaches to bomber design.
