The Boeing 707-321 was one of the definitive long-range jetliners operated by Pan American World Airways, the airline that helped usher in the age of global jet travel.

Introduced in the early 1960s, the 707-321 variant was a stretched, long-range version of Boeing’s pioneering narrow-body airliner, designed to cover vast intercontinental routes with speed, comfort, and reliability.

Powered by four Pratt & Whitney JT4A turbojets, the 707-321 could cruise at over 600 mph and cross oceans in record time.

Pan Am used the aircraft extensively on prestigious transatlantic and transpacific routes, linking major world capitals and helping cement the airline’s reputation as the leader of modern international air travel.

Its distinctive blue cheatline, bold “PAN AM” titling, and iconic globe tail logo made the aircraft instantly recognisable across the world’s airports.

Inside, passengers experienced a new standard of jet-age luxury: spacious cabins, improved pressurisation, and smooth, high-altitude cruising.
