Mini Coopers have been automotive fan favourite machines for decades!
This 1/10 scale radio control model kit recreates the version of the Mini Cooper built by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) as it existed between 1959 until the year 2000.
Original Minis were built for four decades without model changes.
It had a front-wheel drive layout which was rare at that time, and it featured compact mechanics and maximum interior space.
With its design featuring the necessary bare minimum features, it helped contribute to this car’s iconic status.
The recreated R/C version comes on the MB-01 chassis in the short wheelbase and front motor / front-wheel drive (FF) configuration layout.
The MB-01 Chassis
The compact, 2WD MB-01 chassis gives a choice of three types of wheelbases, and a front- or rear- wheel drive system.
Without removing battery pack, motor, and R/C equipment setups from the centre frame, simply change attachment directions of final gears and steering linkage to switch between front- and rear-wheel drive; low or high motor position can be chosen for rear-wheel drive cars.
The 4-wheel double wishbone suspension features symmetrical structure and friction dampers.
Unitized sections such as motor mount, final gears and suspension facilitate ease of assembly and effective maintenance.
