The Rheintochter I was a German surface-to-air missile developed during World War II as part of the Luftwaffe's efforts to counter Allied bombing raids.

Designed by Rheinmetall-Borsig, it featured a distinctive two-stage configuration with large cruciform fins and was launched vertically from a rail.

Powered by a solid-fuel booster and liquid-fuel sustainer, it had a range of up to 25 km and was guided by radio control.

Although it never entered mass production, the Rheintochter I represented an ambitious step toward guided missile air defense in the early era of rocket technology.
