The Soviet Obj. 172 T-72 Ural is a main battle tank that was developed in the 1970s as an upgrade to the T-64.

It was produced by the Soviet Union and later by various other countries, including Russia, Ukraine, and Poland.

The T-72 Ural is equipped with a 125mm smoothbore gun, a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun, and a 12.7mm anti-aircraft machine gun.

The tank has a crew of three and is known for its thick armor, good mobility, and advanced fire control system.

It has a maximum speed of around 60 km/h on roads and is capable of crossing various types of terrain.

The T-72 Ural also has a snorkel system that allows it to ford water obstacles up to 5 meters deep.

During the Cold War, the T-72 Ural was a mainstay of the Soviet and Warsaw Pact armies and saw extensive use in various conflicts around the world.

It was later upgraded with various modernization packages, including improved armor, fire control systems, and engines.

Today, the T-72 Ural remains in service with several countries and has been used in conflicts such as the Syrian Civil War and the ongoing war in Donbass.
