Details

The H-Class battleships were a series of projected warships designed for the Kriegsmarine under Nazi Germany’s Plan Z naval expansion.

Intended to surpass contemporary battleships, the H-Class designs evolved through several iterations, with the H-39 being the most developed.

These massive ships were to displace over 60,000 tons and mount eight 406mm (16-inch) guns, combining heavy firepower with strong armor and long range.

None were completed due to shifting war priorities and resource limitations.

The H-Class remains a symbol of Germany’s ambitious but unrealized naval dominance in World War II.
