The Dodge ½-ton 4x4 Carryall WC-17 (later designated WC-26) was a versatile and rugged vehicle used extensively by the U.S. military during World War II.

Part of Dodge’s WC series, this carryall variant was designed to transport personnel, tools, and equipment across difficult terrain.

With its four-wheel drive system and reliable 6-cylinder engine, the WC-17/26 excelled in mobility and durability, making it ideal for use in various theaters of war—from North Africa to the Pacific.

The enclosed body featured bench seating for up to eight passengers and ample space for cargo, making it a favorite for motor pool operations, field communications units, and medical evacuation when needed.

Its robust construction, ease of maintenance, and adaptability earned it a lasting legacy as one of the workhorse vehicles of the U.S. Army’s early war effort.
