A powerful Cold War-era artillery system, the M110A2G was Germany’s upgraded version of the U.S.-built M110A2, featuring a 203mm (8-inch) howitzer mounted on a tracked chassis.

Designed for long-range fire missions, this self-propelled gun delivered devastating conventional and nuclear-capable firepower.

Key enhancements included a reinforced barrel, distinctive muzzle brake, and German-specific modifications such as Diehl tracks and weather protection.

Operated by a crew of five, the M110A2G offered a range of up to 30 km with rocket-assisted projectiles and played a critical role in NATO’s artillery strategy during the Cold War.

Retired in the early 1990s, it remains a significant piece of Bundeswehr history and a popular subject among military vehicle collectors and modelers.
