At its foundation, the Hobby is all about our magnificent miniatures, and millions of fans all over the world enjoy collecting, modelling, painting, and playing games with armies of them.

Games Workshop started out in the United Kingdom, but today has offices in the United States, Australia, China, and Japan. 

The most essential thing they do is create, manufacture, and market amazing miniature soldiers and miniatures.

To that aim, they also create, manufacture, and distribute a wide range of books and equipment to support a wide range of hobbies.

There is a huge selection of plastic and resin kits, as well as painting manuals, rulebooks, and novels, providing the foundation for an almost limitless pastime.

Nottingham is home to there design centre, as well as manufacturing and distribution operations in the city.

Games Workshop was formed over 30 years ago by three gameing enthusiasts who started selling handcrafted, traditional wooden games from their London homes.

They went on to open a chain of general-interest game stores.

Citadel Miniatures Limited, a maker of metal miniatures situated in Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire, was founded by Games Workshop in 1981.

After relocating closer to Nottingham, the company started to flourish and expand, creating a wide range of miniatures, kits, and publications under the Games Workshop brand.
