The M4A4 Sherman with 60lb Rocket was a variant of the iconic American M4 Sherman tank modified to launch the T34 Calliope multiple rocket launcher system.

This system consisted of a set of launch tubes mounted on the turret of the tank, capable of firing 4.5-inch (114 mm) rockets.

The addition of the rocket launcher system provided the Sherman tank with a significant increase in firepower, enabling it to saturate enemy positions with high-explosive rockets in addition to its main armament.

This made it particularly effective in infantry support and suppressive fire roles, where the ability to deliver a large volume of explosives quickly could be decisive in breaking enemy defenses or providing covering fire for advancing troops.

The M4A4 Sherman with 60lb Rocket saw service primarily in the later stages of World War II, particularly during the Allied advance through Western Europe.

Its firepower and versatility made it a valuable asset in combat, contributing to the success of Allied armored formations in overcoming German defenses and achieving victory on the battlefield.
