Eduard 1/48 Curtiss P-40E Warhawk Royal Class Dual Combo # R0023
The Curtiss P-40E Warhawk was a rugged and reliable American fighter aircraft used extensively during World War II.
Introduced in 1941, it was powered by the Allison V-1710-39 engine, producing 1,150 hp, giving it solid speed and durability, though it lacked high-altitude performance.
The P-40E featured improved armament over earlier versions, equipped with six .50 caliber M2 Browning machine guns in the wings.
It was widely used by the U.S. Army Air Forces, the Flying Tigers in China, and Allied nations like Britain, Australia, and the Soviet Union.
Known for its tough airframe and ground-attack capabilities, the Warhawk excelled in low-altitude combat and played a key role in multiple theaters, including the Pacific, North Africa, and the Eastern Front.
