The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb was one of the most widely produced and battle-proven variants of the iconic British fighter aircraft used during the Second World War.

Representing the mid-production version, this aircraft featured the powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin engine and the distinctive “B” wing configuration, armed with two 20mm Hispano cannons and four .303 machine guns.

Entering service in 1941, the Mk.Vb played a crucial role in RAF operations across Europe, North Africa, and the Mediterranean.

It was designed to counter the growing threat of the German Luftwaffe, particularly the formidable Focke-Wulf Fw 190, and remained a key frontline fighter until more advanced variants were introduced.
