The Curtiss P-40E Warhawk was a single-engine, single-seat fighter aircraft widely used during World War II.
Introduced in 1941, it was a variant of the P-40 series, powered by an Allison V-1710 liquid-cooled V12 engine.
The P-40E featured enhanced armament, including six .50 caliber machine guns, and improved armor for pilot protection.
Known for its rugged design and reliability, the Warhawk was effective in low to medium altitude combat, excelling in ground-attack roles.
It was famously used by the "Flying Tigers," the American Volunteer Group in China, and became an iconic symbol of Allied air power during the early years of the war.
